The Centrale’s exterior design by Pelli Clarke Pelli Architects, builds upon classic Art Deco architecture with contemporary elements thoughtfully displayed throughout, including the lightly reflective glass façade articulated with facets of terracotta chevrons.

The Centrale reveals its base, body and crown from street to the sky with crystalline switchbacks, creating a dynamic rhythm of angled reflections of the surrounding Midtown landscape.

The completed grand amenities spaces are personalized with handmade artwork, distinctive marbles, natural stones and dramatic light fixtures that come together to create an ethereal, intimate feel. The dramatic Porte-Cochère spans from 50th Street to 49th Street and ensures that residents arrive to The Centrale through a sheltered passage for a convenient and discreet return home.

Breathtaking and original, the Lobby, attended by a full-time doorman and concierge, has a textural feel heightened by two specially designed feature walls and wall panels that extend to the double height ceiling. This dramatic space sets a tone for the building with cream-colored, hand-set limestone walls and smoky veined Falakron white marble floors with Bianco Dolomiti inlays.

The formal Great Room – with its soaring 36’ ceilings – bridges the interior and exterior spaces. Remarkably grand, it offers curated light fixtures, a floral-inspired art installation by Pascale Girardin and a feature wall made from quarter-matched Nestos marble.

Adjacent to the Great Room, a Private Dining space for 10 and catering kitchen is available for residents to host lively dinner events. The all-season Club Terrace is the perfect oasis in the heart of Midtown. Illuminated by a celestial light installation that hangs high above the terrace’s tables and plush seating, this is a place for conversation and celebration.

The Club Room, with its 23’ ceilings is both lofty and intimate, a perfect space for casual gatherings. Warmed by a fireplace, it also features a commissioned ceramic art installation and floor-to-ceiling windows.

At the heart of the Conference Room is a grand custom table that comfortably seats 8, with a Bianco Carrara marble top and walnut frame. Both this room and the nearby Pantry have floor-to-ceiling windows, providing welcome glimpses into the Great Room.

The 75’ Swimming Pool is adorned with accents that establish calm. Textured plaster columns, tiles in a gradation of blues and greens, cove uplighting and a unique art feature give the space a sense of magic.
